Dedicate Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Management Accountant to join our client's finance team based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. This pivotal role involves supporting the organisation’s financial management functions, producing high-quality monthly management accounts, and providing essential business partnering support to budget holders and senior management. The successful candidate will oversee accounts receivable and credit control, manage VAT accounts (excluding VAT return submissions), and assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and year-end reporting processes. You will be a key team player, collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure efficient financial operations within a charity that makes a real difference in education, care, and employment opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities.
- Proven experience in management accounting, with a track record of producing management accounts and conducting balance sheet reconciliations within tight deadlines.
- Professional accountancy qualification or significant experience in an accounting role; a full or part qualification is desirable.
- Knowledge of charity accountancy principles and finance regulations, including VAT processes and the Statements of Recommended Practice (SORP).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels, ideally with experience in business partnering.
- Experience with accounts receivable management, VAT, and fixed assets reconciliation is essential.
- Able to demonstrate reliability, patience, and discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
