Dedicate Recruitment is seeking a highly capable and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join a leading specialist college, residential care provider and centre of excellence for Autism based near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the financial operations of the organisation, supporting a team of five finance professionals and working closely with senior managers, external advisors, and the wider leadership team. Your responsibilities will include managing monthly management accounts, preparing budgets and forecasts, maintaining strong relationships with professional advisors, and ensuring robust cash management and financial controls. You will also support strategic projects such as acquisitions, capital developments, and long-term planning, contributing to the organisation’s financial stability and growth. The role requires a proactive and collaborative approach, an understanding of financial systems and IT platforms such as Office 365 and SharePoint, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Experience in managing management accounts and financial reporting
- Ideally, some understanding of payroll processes and legislation
- Line management experience, supporting and developing finance staff
- Strong proficiency with Excel, databases, accounting, and payroll systems
- Proven ability to develop and implement financial processes and systems
- Experience in supporting strategic projects, budgeting, and forecasting
- Part-qualified or fully qualified finance professional with relevant expertise
- Professional and positive attitude, with excellent communication skills
