The role requires proactive management of financial tasks such as transaction processing, management accounts preparation, budget assistance, and support for audit processes. Additionally, the Finance Manager will play a vital part in ensuring financial controls are robust and help facilitate strategic financial projects, all while providing guidance to finance staff and ensuring smooth operations throughout the contract period.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, ideally within the education sector or a client organisation
- Strong understanding of financial management, reporting, and compliance requirements
- Experience with preparing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Ability to prepare and support year-end and audit processes
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication skills for liaising with senior management and external auditors
- Knowledge of financial regulations and internal controls

- Leading a team of two staff
